Master Thesis (work in progress)
How does one preserve lived cultures?
Through the architectural design of communal living moments and rituals, my thesis aims to showcase the intangible qualities of a neighborhood that should be preserved. Doing so serves as a critique of current architectural preservation priorities and underscores the necessity of preserving lived cultures. Boston Chinatown serves as the site for this study.
